Last call for Windows 10 ? Windows 10 has been available as an upgrade to users of Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 since 29 July 2015. The upgrade remains free to these users provided it is downloaded and installed by 29 July 2016. Should you take the upgrade? Contact your software vendors and your IT support company for further advice/recommendations on your particular systems. If you upgrade to Windows 10, then have difficulty with any of your software or simply change your mind and wish to revert to your previous version of Windows, this can be done within 30 days of the upgrade. What happens if you choose to remain on Windows 7 or Windows 8.1? Both versions of Windows will continue to run beyond 29 July 2016 and will remain supported by Microsoft until 14 January 2020 and 10 January 2023 respectively. |
